During the fall semester of 2006,
University of Massachusetts Boston offered an Asian American Studies
course taught by Dr. Karen Suyemoto called “Multiracial Experiences.”
Students in this class discussed and
learned how race and racialization in America affects an individual’s
identity. The main analysis is a focus of understanding how the
historical context of America shapes multiracial identity.
This website is about one group’s
findings about the stories, attitudes, reflections, and perceptions of
multiraciality in the local Asian American communities of Boston.
