In 2002, Captain James Yee was assigned to serve as the Muslim chaplain at Guantanamo, where hundreds of "enemy combatants" captured in the war on terror are being detained. The following year he was wrongfully arrested for espionage, sedition, and aiding the enemy and placed in solitary confinement. All charges against him were subsequently dropped.
